FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
How does the Community Progress work?
The community progress for The Prince and the Pocket Sized Princess is global. Contributions to the community event are automatic, all you need to do is log in and participate - no neighbours required. It doesn't matter where you are in the world.
Invite your friends and family to play - anyone you know, really! The more people that join the event and contribute, the more prizes for everyone to enjoy.
When does the Prince and the Pocket-Sized Princess start?
All special events and Hobbies for this update are scheduled for different times. Hang tight - it's a surprise! But don't worry, we've got plenty of cool features for you this update to keep busy.
How do I get the new male hairstyles?
You will have an opportunity to earn the male long hairstyles by performing the Fashion Designer hobby in the Charming Barber Hobby Event later in the update. Each collection will unlock a new hairstyle. There are 8 hairstyles to collect!
How do I unlock community prizes?
Unlike other Community Events, prizes won together by the community in The Prince and the Pocket-Sized Princess are unlocked by completing reading short snippets of story as the community Progresses. These include quick goals which, once completed, unlock the next prize and unfold the narrative of the holiday quest.
For more information on Community Events, see: Sims FreePlay Community Events

Earning prizes
Prizes are are earned in two ways; through your Personal Progress (collecting resources) and through community progress - everyone participating in the event across the world! Make sure you place a resource generator (such as a Giant Daisy) to begin collecting flower resources.
As you collect more resources, you unlock:
- More resource generators

- Collect a variety of resources and constructor coins to build new areas for your Sims to enjoy
- Constructor Coins
- These are rare tokens that are needed to construct new places within the Forest
- The grand prize
- Once you've unlocked all personal prizes you will have access to the Magical Wings for your Sims!
Collect resources and constructor coins to unlock and purchase new areas in the Magical Forest for your Sims to enjoy.

Charming Barber Hobby Event
Complete a collection of 12 items in the Fashion Designer Hobby to unlock a new male hairstyle. There are 8 collections to complete and therefore 8 hairstyles to collect. You must be at least level 11 to start the Charming Barber Event. A Sim can only have one Hobby assigned to them at a time.
Note: Starting the event will reset your progress in the Fashion Designer Hobby so that you can work to achieve the new hairstyle prizes.
Aerobics Hobby
The Aerobics Hobby is unlocked by completing the Healthy Living quest. You can perform the Hobby in the all-new Healthy Living Center or by purchasing an Aerobics step and placing it in your Sim's home. You must be at least level 9 to start the hobby.
You will have to complete 7 collections (4 rows of 3 collectables) by doing the hobby to unlock all 7 active wear outfits as a reward.
How do I start the hobby?
- A Sim can only have one hobby assigned to them at a time
- With a Sim selected, tap the blue mat to begin
- Other Sims can join in on the purple mats without being apart of the Aerobics Hobby
The blue mat allows your Sim to perform the Aerobics Hobby. Other Sims who have different hobbies (e.g. Woodworking) can still "Join in", but only on the purple mats.
In a Sim's home:
- Build the Promotions'R'Us store - if you haven't already
- Purchase an Aerobic Step
- Place it inside any Sim's home - make sure it's not in the garden!
- Enjoy using the hobby with any Sim with the Aerobics hobby
"Rare" collectable items are harder to get. Collecting items is randomised, so keep trying!
Ice Sculpture Hobby Event
Your Sim can use a wand to sculpt ice! Perform this hobby to unlock the decorations from Christmas 2015 in an exciting new hobby.
How do I start the hobby?
Have your Sims participate in the Ice Sculpting hobby event by being at least level 7 and by ensuring you have built the Promotions'R'Us store. Purchase the Ice Sculpture from there, and make sure you place it inside a Sim's home - this goes for any hobby item!
