Team up with the community in The Sims FreePlay to get special rewards.
Community Events are limited-time challenges where you work on your own, and as a part of the global The Sims FreePlay community, to collect resources and unlock event prizes.
In most cases you can participate in Community Events by being at least level 7 and have any required downloadable content (DLC). We’ll let you know if you need to download any DLC.
How does it work?
Join the event
In most cases, you only need to be at least level 7 to participate in an event and have the latest game update.
If you’re eligible for the event, we’ll invite you to join it the next time you launch The Sims FreePlay.
Accept the event, go to the Event Items tab of the Store, and select the first event item. Then complete the event tutorial and you’re ready to go!
Collect resources and constructor coins
Resources contribute to your and the community progress in the event.
Find event themed resource generating items in the Event Items tab of the Store or in your inventory, and place them around homes while in Build mode. Want to collect even more resources? Go ahead and get multiple items.
Use resources to build special event structures and buildings—though sometimes you can buy structures and buildings instead.
TIP: Get bonus resources by checking in on your Sims. Just tap event icon bubble that sometimes appear over a Sims head while they’re collecting resources.
Constructor coins help you build things. You can collect them from event spin flowers, daily goals, and community and personal progression. You can also get a Coin Flower Patch—which lets you grow an event spin flower—in the Event Items Tab of the Store.
Find resource generators in the Event Items tab of the Store or in your inventory.
Event buildables and other items
Unlock structures and buildings as you collect more resources. Each buildable item has a cost that includes different resources as well as constructor coins. Depending on the event, you might be able to purchase the items without using resources.
Tap the Community Event icon to open the menu. The first tab has Daily Goals that you can complete for additional rewards. Remember to tap Claim to collect your resources or constructor coins after you complete a goal.
Community Event Progress
You can check your own progress, as well as community progress, in the Community Event menu.
How do I get prizes?
You unlock prizes with your personal progress as well as community progress.
One of the best parts of Community Events is that you get to choose you prizes for your personal progression. The prizes for community progression are already set, but you can use the resources you collected to pick the personal progression prize(s) you want.
If you’re a little short of resources, tap the Get Requirements button to use Social Points to get the resources you need. It may be cheaper to get the resources required instead though!
Once the event ends, you have a limited time to spend your remaining resources. You can find out how many resources you have left by viewing the event Overview.
