Older versions of Android will no longer be supported by The Sims FreePlay
You’ll need Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) or higher to continue playing The Sims FreePlay on your Android device.
What’s going on?
The 2017 Halloween update will be the final update to support Android devices running versions older than Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0). We strongly encourage players to update to the latest version of Android to ensure that you're still able to play The Sims FreePlay. For a full list of Android versions and more information, check the official Google Android website here.
Update your Android version to continue playing the game
Ensure that your device is running Ice Cream Sandwich or higher so you can continue to play future updates from The Sims FreePlay. We recommend that you update your operating system to the most recent version available for your device.
To update your operating system, first make sure that you’re connected to a WiFi network. Most Android devices can then be updated by going to Settings > About Phone > ‘System Updates/Software Update’ or similar, and looking for options to update your Android.
What happens if I uninstall the game?
If you’re on an supported version of Android OS you will need to update your Android version before downloading the game. If you uninstall the game without updating you won’t be able to download the game from the store.
