Are your actions or tasks resetting and stopping in The Sims FreePlay? Learn how to prevent this.
There's a number of reasons that your game might be experiencing issues with tasks and actions resetting. It's hard to find the exact cause of this problem, so instead try a few of these tips to prevent it from happening again.
Were your Sims 'Restocking' in a Live Event?
If a Sim has no reward above their head, check the craft station shows '9 stock'. This means that you just completed the 'Restock' task rather than a 'Collect' task! When you have maximum Sims in a house lot all collecting items and they complete the collection, it is easy to forget that you may have left one of these Sims to 'Restock' the station rather than collect items.
Don't use the 'Save and exit' button - force close the app
The save and exit button keeps your game running in the background and only 'minimises' the application, it doesn't actually close it. This can cause memory issues with your application so when you open it again some tasks may have reset. On your device, open your Application or Task Manager to show all other open Apps, and click the "X" on The Sims FreePlay. For more info see our article here.
How much storage space do you have free?
We recommend keeping at least 10% of your device's storage space free. Many performance issues may occur if you have less than 2-3GB storage space available.
Look after your phone's RAM (or Internal Memory)
On an iPhone you can check how much spare RAM you have by going to Settings > General > Storage and iCloud Usage. For other devices check out this article from Wikihow. To prevent RAM loss you can try disabling any Widgets in use, turning off animated wallpapers, closing the game when you're not playing, and close any applications you aren't using.
Clear application cache on Android
It might be worth clearing the app's cache. Firstly, ensure your game is saved to the Cloud in The Sims FreePlay. To clear the cache on an Android, open Settings then find the Apps or Applications section. Next, locate The Sims FreePlay. Tap on Storage and look for options to clear your cache (not your 'data').
If you're still having issues try reinstalling your game after uploading it to the Cloud. You can also try all steps in the troubleshooting guide over here.
